Ciccio Mio translates to ‘My Fat’ in English, but hold your judgement on this new Chicago Italian eatery and wine bar. Once you visit, you’ll see the playfulness of the name, and be swept away by the fine dishes and expert drink offering. The interior couldn’t be cozier, with plush velvet seats and gorgeous lighting. Come sit at the bar for classic cocktails, the signature Amaro shaved ice, or a selection from the masterfully prepared wine list. The antipasti is a lovely option if you’re sitting at the bar, but you’ll be hard pressed not to ask for a table once you see specialties like truffle bucatini, shrimp scampi, and coal fired ribeyes being ushered out of the kitchen.

It has arrived, and it’s every bit as glorious as they said it would be: Chicago's Starbucks Reserve Roasteryis a sight to behold. Currently the largest Starbucks in the world, spanning five floors and over 35,000 square feet, this roastery brings passion for the art of coffee to life in a glamorous way. The interior is gilded with bold green and gold accents that soar stories high, waiting to be explored. You’re not going to want to put in a mobile order here, you’re going to want to fully experience it. 

Forget the old-fashioned bowling alleys that you’re used to: At Lucky Strike in Chicago, the retro American pastime is brought into the 21st century with an atmosphere that’s distinctively modern and upbeat. Here, the 18 bowling lanes are complemented by large-screen TV over the pins, while globe paper lanterns cast an ambient amber glow upon the booth seating by the ball return.
