ZooLights Brings the Holiday Spirit This December
7 December 2022

The Lincoln Park Zoo is a beloved attraction in Chicago year-round, home to animals from across the world, and open to guests free of charge. But a heavy sprinkle of holiday cheer makes the local zoo even more appealing every November and December. ZooLights has officially returned for another year!

Last month, the holiday lights overtook the zoo, filling it with holiday spirit. From the House of Apes to the polar bears’ cove, twinkling lights snake across every tree and fence throughout the zoo. It’s truly a sight to behold, especially once you make your way to the central light display. Set to familiar and beloved holiday tunes, this dynamic display illuminates different strings of lights in tempo with the music. As you journey toward this centerpiece of holiday spirit, you’ll pass illuminated scenes of Santa in his sleigh, elves toiling away in the workshop, and maybe even Rudolph taking flight. Warm up with some hot food and hot chocolate (spiked options are available for the 21-plus crowd) as you enjoy ZooLights this holiday season. Tickets are $5 and grant admission only on the selected date.
